The Course is designed to ensure that candidates are aware of the hazards involved in carrying out excavations particularly in relation to underground services. The course will provide candidates with the required skills to carry out suitable investigations.

Valid SOLAS Safe pass card or CSR Card

9 months roadwork experience operating as a candidate LUGS operator in construction
No interpreters – must have B1 level of English in accordance with common European framework of reference ofr languages
Have good colour vision, hearing, full use of trunk & neck & be able to undertake physical activities such as lifting & carrying 6kg cones & traffic signs on frames.
Aim
To equip attendees with the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct proper investigations of underground services before starting any work that may affect them, including all excavation and road-cutting activities.
