EUSR Category 2 – Implement Safe (Digging) Excavating Practices

Who Should Attend:

This course is suited for managers, supervisors, safety professionals, and operatives seeking to enforce safe digging and excavation practices to reduce risks.

Prerequisites:

• Candidates should bring suitable Personal Protective Equipment such as Safety Boots, Helmet, Gloves, Hi-Vis Coat or Vest and Hearing Protection.
• EUSR photo ID card.

Course Aim: This course comprises theoretical and practical assessments aimed at enhancing the knowledge necessary for individuals engaged in safe excavation and maintenance of holes and trenches. It covers the use of both manual and handheld power tools.

Learning Outcomes:

• Interpret utility drawings and identify symbols and coded information.
• Ensure all necessary location, marking and site safety provisions have been carried out correctly prior to any excavation work commencing.
• Identify the dangers and hazards associated with excavations.
• Select and use safe digging tec.

Accreditation:

On successfully completing the course, delegates receive their EUSR accredited certificate valid for 3 years.
