Excavation Rescue

This Course provides the necessary theoretical and practical exercises allowing staff to assist in the rescue of casualties when working in open excavations.

Objectives:

• Legislation – Understanding employer/employee obligations relating to working in excavations and implementing rescue plans.
• Harness use and inspection.
• Identification and use of davit arm systems and various types of rescue equipment.
• Practical exercises – rescue using davit arm systems, fold/roll up stretchers and rescue harnesses.
