IPAF Harness Awareness Course (E-Learning)

Duration: ½ day course

Who should attend:

Candidates who do not need to personally use or wear a harness should, take only the HA Course which can be completed remotely as eLearning,  or in-person at an IPAF training centre. Candidates typically include managers, planners, safety professionals and supervisors.

Course aim:

According to IPAF data, falls from the platform is one of the major causes of injury or fatality associated with using MEWPs. Awareness and understanding of how to correctly use a harness is critical to safe operation of boom-type MEWPs.

Learning Outcomes:

• Select harnesses and lanyards for use in MEWPs
• Manage and supervise use of harnesses and lanyards for use in MEWPs
• Create safe systems of work for harness and lanyard use in MEWPs

Assessment method:

The course is theory-based only and incorporates an exam.

Certification:

Successful delegates will receive a certificate and a digital Licence via their ePAL phone app. The qualification is valid for 5 years.
