Who should attend?

The course is aimed at those working on the Openreach network or similar utilities including suppliers and contractors.

Course Aim:

This training will check the candidates understanding & ability to complete the installation of multi-way ducts from 3-way up to 9-way using current working practices and quality standards.

Learning Outcomes

The course content includes:

• Installation of multi-way ducts ranging from 3-way up to 9-way, including both Duct 54 and Duct 56
• Adherence to Openreach’s current quality standards and approved working practices
• Safe, effective, and efficient methods for laying underground ducting
• Correct handling and operation of tools and equipment used in duct installation
• Knowledge of network infrastructure alongside best practices for duct management
• Practical training with a hands-on session followed by assessment

Pre-requisites

Duct laying 1, SA006, SWQR Unit LA,Unit01, Unit02, Unit 3, K8 Hand Rodding in the UG Network.

Assessment Method:

This Q022 training course combines theory and practical training methods to ensure delegates gain the knowledge required to prepare them for their assessment. Practical demonstrations and hands-on training is conducted throughout the course.

Certification:

Upon Successful completion of the course, candidates will be issued with an Openreach Certificate valid for 3 years.
