The course is aimed at those working on the Openreach network or similar utilities including suppliers and contractors. This module is essential for anyone carrying out frame and cover renewal in the footway.

Course Aim:

This module checks the delegate’s understanding & ability to complete frame and cover renewal in the footway of cover no 2, 4, 6, 110, 111, using current working practices and quality standards.

Learning Outcomes

The course content includes:

• Preparation and excavation
• Removal of old frame and cover
• Installation of new frame and cover
• Backfilling and reinstatement

SA006, SWQR Unit LA,Unit01, Unit02, Unit 3

• Hi-Vis Clothing
• Safety Boots

• Eye Shields
• Flame Retardant Clothing (Legging tops, or overalls)

Assessment Method:

This Q025 training course combines theory and practical training methods to ensure delegates gain the knowledge required to prepare them for their assessment. Practical demonstrations and hands-on training is conducted throughout the course.

Certification:

Upon Successful completion of the course, candidates will be issued with an Openreach Certificate valid for 3 years.
