This course is designed for people who work within an overhead telecommunications environment, to install drop cables above LV power crossings.
Aim
The aim of this course is to equip candidates with the essential safety skills and awareness of the hazards and potential risks involved when working in the proximity of overhead electricity whilst installing drop cables above low voltage power lines within an operational telecommunications environment.
Objectives
Know relevant health and safety legislation and industry good practice when installing and recovering
telecommunications cables crossing above low voltage power lines
Be able to carry out safe use of equipment and methods for installing telecommunication cables
crossing above low voltage power lines
Be able to work safely when installing or recovering telecommunications cables crossing above low
voltage power lines
Know the emergency and reporting procedures in case of emergency or failure.
Pre-Requisites
This accreditation is available to anyone over the age of 16 who is capable of reaching the required standard.

Accreditation
