This 2-day course is predominantly intended for practical users who need to enter low and medium risk spaces which are substantially enclosed and where there is a potentially hazardous working environment.
Aim
This qualification equips learners with the knowledge and skills to safely prepare for, enter, and work within medium risk confined space environments. It also covers the correct and safe procedures for implementing an emergency evacuation.
Objective
Learners will be provided with relevant training on:
Entering, exiting, and conducting entry controller responsibilities in a medium risk confined space.
Using equipment and tools in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications.
Working safely whilst following prescribed procedures.
Responding to emergencies.
Following contingency plans.
Using escape and emergency equipment.
Pre-Requisites
This accreditation is available to anyone over the age of 16 who are physically able to enter confined spaces. Candidates should also demonstrate a good level of spoken and written English.
Training Methods
A proportion of hands-on demonstrations and practical exercises, supplemented with classroom-based tutorials.
Accreditation
Upon Successful completion of the course, you will be issued with a Smart Awards Certificate valid for 3 years.
